Tour Plan

Hotel Pickup – Begin Your Eco Journey Through Langkawi

Your day begins with a comfortable 9:00 AM pickup from your Langkawi hotel, provided by Mam Holidays. As you settle into the air-conditioned vehicle, your friendly English-speaking driver will give you a short introduction to the day’s itinerary. You'll drive along the island’s scenic northern coast en route to Tanjung Rhu, one of the most tranquil and untouched corners of Langkawi. Along the way, your guide will offer local insights and answer common travel questions such as “How to visit Kilim Geoforest Park?”, “Is Tanjung Rhu worth visiting?”, and “What to do in Tanjung Rhu Langkawi?” It’s a smooth and relaxed start that sets the tone for an immersive and exclusive Langkawi private tour.

Black Sand Beach – Uncover Langkawi’s Mystical Shoreline

The first stop is Black Sand Beach Langkawi, a naturally stunning and peaceful area often missed by large group tours. The black sand—formed from rich mineral deposits—contrasts dramatically with the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea. Here, you’ll have time to explore the beach, take photos, and learn about the geological and cultural legends behind its striking color. If you’re searching for quiet beaches in Langkawi or a stop along a Langkawi nature and beach tour, this is one of the most unique and photogenic places on the island.

Kilim Geoforest Park – Langkawi Mangrove Boat Tour Experience

Next, you'll board a private boat for your Langkawi mangrove boat tour through the spectacular Kilim Geoforest Park, one of the three parks that make up the Langkawi Geopark—recognized by UNESCO for its ecological value. This Kilim Geoforest private boat tour is the heart of the experience, allowing you to glide past dramatic limestone formations, explore hidden sea caves, and navigate narrow mangrove channels where nature thrives undisturbed. Keep your camera ready as you may spot soaring eagles, kingfishers, mudskippers, long-tailed macaques, and even monitor lizards. It’s a perfect match for nature photographers and anyone seeking Langkawi eco-friendly tours or intimate Langkawi nature experiences. Your expert guide will explain how these mangroves protect Langkawi’s coastline, support biodiversity, and are a vital part of the island's ecological balance. Whether you’re traveling with kids or looking for a peaceful outing, this portion of your Langkawi private mangrove cruise is one of the most educational and memorable.

Tanjung Rhu Beach & Village – Culture Meets Coastal Bliss

After your boat ride, you’ll be brought to the serene Tanjung Rhu Beach, considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Langkawi. Its calm, shallow waters and views of neighboring limestone islands create a peaceful backdrop perfect for reflection, photography, or simply enjoying the gentle sea breeze. From there, embark on a Tanjung Rhu village tour, where you’ll be introduced to the traditional Malay way of life. Visit a local fishing community, observe daily village activities, and engage in conversations that deepen your understanding of Langkawi’s cultural roots. This authentic encounter makes it clear why this is among the most genuine and family-friendly Langkawi nature tours. Combining beach serenity with cultural depth, this stop adds a unique human element to your Langkawi sightseeing experience.

Hotel Drop-Off – A Perfect Ending to Your Langkawi Day Tour

Around 1:00 PM, your private driver will return you to your hotel, wrapping up your unforgettable half-day private Langkawi tour. You’ll leave with stunning photographs, a new appreciation for Langkawi’s hidden gems, and cherished memories of both nature and local life. Whether you’re on a tight schedule or simply looking for a more meaningful experience away from the crowds, this tour delivers everything in a well-organized, expertly guided format. The ultimate mangrove experience

Tanjung Rhu is truly a must when visiting Langkawi. The average cost of renting one boat is RM 200 and the boat ride takes approximately 2 hours where you first start off by looking at soaring eagles. The boat operators normally throw raw chicken meat into the water and you can see these eagles soaring down to eat them. Then you go through the mangrove area where you see 100’s of monkeys just hanging around and chilling. You will also stop by a small fish farm where you will be introduced to various species of fishes. Before ending the tour, you will be taken to a cave where you can see 100’s of bats. Must watch out for the monkeys that will grab your plastics bags as they might think you have food in them !..

The tour operator tried to pocket more money and threatened the tourists

It was terrible. The tour operator and the driver did not follow itinerary, forced tourist to wrong place that out of plan, let customers waste too much time for moving and waiting. Especially, the tour operator tried to pocket more money of tourists and threatening us if we don't agree to pay surcharge for bad service, bad attitude. Please keep away from the tour and MAM holidays...

A to-do in Langkawi

Once in a lifetime experience…our boat took us through the mangroves of Kilim Geoforest park where we watched eagle feeding and explored the bat caves followed by a visit to the fish farm and indulged in seafood at the floating restaurant …then we rode out into the open sea with a light drizzle caressing our cheeks..it was a wonderful experience…our driver cum guide Abu(+60 12 365 9345) gave us a lot of info about Langkawi and Malaysian way of life in general....

Tegenvaller

Forget yourself in the lap of mother nature- a must do tour

Just one word : Peaceful. Review- We took a full day mangrove tour in sharing. It's fun that other people join you and enjoy each others company. The tour guide was from HBS company and he was really nice. The tour started near to Tanjung Rhu village jetty and ended in Tanjung Rhu beach. We started at 10:15am and activities included are as below: 1. Fish feeding. The boat guide took us to this fish feeding area after all the way island cruising which was very exciting. Sea and small green islands make such a beauty. Feast for eyes :) 2. crocodile cave- Due to high tides the boat didn't go inside but we enjoyed the beauty from outside. And also there's no crocodile just the shape of cave is like a giant crocodile. 3. Monkey Feeding - Met cute monkeys and their family living on the mangrove trees. For food they swim and few monkeys even came to our boat which we enjoyed a lot. 4. Cruising all way to the river we reached to Eagle feeding area. There were two groups of eagle one in brown color and one with white and black color wings. ohh they are beauty. 5. Stopped at some floating restaurant where we saw some different kinds of fish and had snacks. 6. next stop was bat cave. It was again a nice experience... although this is small than Batu caves of KL but yes indeed it was also beautiful. 7. came back to floating restaurant and had lunch. Good for seafood not for vegetarians. Only rice and juice for veg people. 8. They took us to sea cruising and it was really fun. Finally arrived at Tanjung Rhu beach. Enjoyed for some time and here the trip ends at 3:30PM . Driver will pick you back to hotel. some important points: 1. Sharing full day tour ticket is of RM 90 which includes pickup and drop from hotel. 2. You can opt for half day tour too which cost RM60 but I would suggest to take full day tour which takes around 4-5 hours. 3. You can book the tours from Airport itself... keeping prices in mind. you might bargain a little... All on you luck...
